Policies & FAQs

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! But in order to do pickup you need to be able to enter Fort Meade Military Base.  This requires either a military ID or the ability to get a visitors pass.  If you choose the local pickup option and cannot enter the base, I will either ask for you to pay for shipping or pay a $3 travel fee for me to meet you at the visitors center at Reece Gate.  This fee is to cover my time and ensures that you show during the time period set.  If you do not arrive in 10 minutes and do not alert me that you are running late I will leave and you will need to either pick up on base or pay the shipping fee.

  Do you offer custom and personalized orders:
I do offer customized options. Just contact me with your request, and I can let you know if it is possible.

How long does it take for my item to ship?
This depends on the item you ordered. Custom orders can take up to 4 weeks, but pre made items ship within 3 days of being ordered.
Wholesale availability do offer discounts when mulitiple items are purchased. Just contact me for more information.
Resin Care InstructionsAvoid long exposure to water, especially submersion in water. Avoid contact with household chemicals, perspiration and chlorinated water. The same goes for lotions, cosmetics, hair spray and hair products, and perfumes. These can cause defects in the resin

Do you ship world wide?
Yes! Please contact me for shipping rates to countries outside the US.

What happens if the post office loses what package?
Unfortunately once the package leaves my possession there isn’t anything I can do about it. It is recommended that you contact your post office to see what can be done.

My package says it was delivered but it’s not in my mailbox.
It is very possible that your package was stolen. Please contact your post office. This does not quality for a refund or new product. Once the post office takes responsibility of the package there isn’t anything that I can help with.  Please contact your neighbors to see if the package was possibly delivered to them by accident. If it isn't there, then please check in with your local Post Office to see if they can locate where they delivered the package. If the package was delivered at your house but you still cannot find it, it is very possible that it was stolen. Please contact your local police department to report the stolen package.

Do you offer wholesale?
Yes!  Please contact me if you are interested in ordering at wholesale.  There is a minimum on wholesale orders.

Do you have unlimited edits on tumbler designs?
No. I always work with you to make sure the vinyl and design is the right color, but once the design is cut if you do not like it on the cup there is a $5 redo fee per cup to cover time and supplies used. 

​If you receive your custom order and it you wish to have it send back for revisions AFTER you have given final approval on the design then you are responsible for shipping the cup back to me and the return shipping to get it back to you.  We always contact you for final approval on anything that isn't a pre-designed theme and once you give final approval and the cup is sealed there aren't any changes that can be made.

Refunds/Returns on Custom made items.
Because of the nature of these orders, anything custom ordered will not be eligable for refund/cancelation/returns after 12 hours once the order is placed.  Sometimes I need to order supplies for these items and I try to order them ASAP to keep my turnaround time quicker. It is important to know what it means to have a handmad item made for you. This means that slight variations may occur and evidence of being handmade may be evident. There may be small air bubbles,  decal placement variations and/or other minor imperfections. Although we strive for perfection here at The 5th Bird, sometimes these things are unavoidable. This is not grounds for a refund or return. There is just so much I can do to make these perfect and that is the nature of handmade pieces. We do not accept "forced returns", the buyer must contact us before returning stating the reasons for returning.

Returns/Refunds
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and they must contact us before about the return or else we will not accept it.
If the item is not returned in its original condition and original packaging, no refund will be given and the item will not be sent back unless buyer pays for return shipping.

We only accept return/refunds if the product is faulty. Please send us the picture of the problem within 24 hours of receiving it and we will try to figure out how to rectify it.

Custom orders can not be returned or refunded.

How do I care for my tumblers?
  • Hand-wash only
  • Do not microwave
  • Do not drop
  • Do not freeze
  • Do not soak
  • Only wash with a soft sponge, cloth, or scratch free sponge

    Failure to follow these instructions will result in damage to your tumbler and does not qualify for a refund, exchange, or free repair.

My tumbler was damaged, can you repair it?
Sometimes a tumbler can be repaired if there is light damage, but more often than not it requires for the entire cup to be stripped and started over again.  If your tumbler has be damaged you can contact me for an estimate for repair, but if the cup requires stripping then you will need to purchase a new cup because of the time, effort, and cost of materials needed to strip and recreate the same cup and sometimes the actual cup can be damaged as well and cannot be used again.
